WordPress requires knowledge of HTML and experience with coding, which made it incredibly difficult for our clients to add pages, update content and keep photos and images fresh over time.

Quickly after we would launch a website, WordPress would release new security or core file updates that needed to be manually installed. Sounds fairly simple, right? Unfortunately, this was rarely the case.
WordPress websites are made up of plugins— all built to different standards by different developers from across the world. These plugins can manage anything from enquiry forms, to social feeds to even more critical tasks like providing a secure area to share sensitive data or process payments.
What we would find is that plugins would be incompatible with the updates required by WordPress. Incompatible plugins led to broken web pages and sections that wouldn’t load, and in some cases, the whole site would crash.
The fix? Reaching out to the plugin developer to ask them to provide a compatible update. And waiting while they developed, tested and launched the new version.
And if you get crickets from the developer? Dive head-first into damage control by developing creative workarounds.
All of this took time— time when our clients’ websites weren’t working the way they should. Time that caused frustration, headaches, overwhelm and in some cases, loss of revenue.
